Vikor operates throughout the country through 29 strategically located distribution centers covering over 900 cities and towns. Supplied through the Karachi National Distribution Centre our network provides fast , responsive and efficient service to customers throughout the length and breadth of the country.
Our 29 distribution centers have sufficient cold chain capability to provide efficacy and integrity of product quality to the end users. All the centers have back up power to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Our distribution centers provide excellent back office support which include a strong emphasis on customer service, on time delivery, credit control and sales promotion program support .
To ensure that our nationwide service level meets with our Mission Statement and Corporate Objective a team of distribution executive ensure that inventory management is of the highest level and adequacy of supply is nationwide . Our service level excluding principals stock out is above 99% .
We follow Good Distribution practices which are regularly audited and approved of by our principals.
COLD CHAIN LOGISTICS AND MANAGEMENT :
The cold chain system is a means for storing and transporting vaccines in a potent state from the manufacturer to the person being immunized. This is a very important component of an immunization programme, since all vaccines lose potency over time, especially if exposed to heat, and in addition, some also lose their potency when frozen.
It is obviously pointless to immunize with impotent vaccine, and efforts to reach extremely high levels of immunization coverage will be useless if the vaccine being administered has insufficient potency to give the necessary protection. Attention to maintaining correct temperatures during storage and transport of vaccine is thus a major task for Vikor.
“Special storage facilities are maintained to keep the vaccines under the required temperature mostly between 2 to +8°C round the clock. Vilor have special refrigerators, freezers, coolers and cold boxes to upgrade the cold chain systems.
For sales and supplies of vaccine, which needs temperature controlled equipments, exclusive personnel engaged who are directly responsible to handle this specialized function. Order received at anytime is serviced immediately and care is taken to reach the destination while maintaining temperature with cold chain protocol. in addition we have centralized AC vans to receive and deliver vaccine safely under required temperature.
For dispatches to other stations vaccines are packed in special thermopore boxes with Ice packs to maintain at a safe temperature throughout its entire journey and its being sent through Air to reach destination within shortest possible time.
